Jewish Food Society of Akiba presents: Shabbat Salads for Spring

Sunday, March 2 from 10:00am - 12:00pm 

Join Akiba family member and culinary educator, Andi Phillips, for a morning of hands-on learning in our kitchen!  Spring is just around the corner, and we are looking forward to its arrival by learning how to make a variety of fresh salads from the uber-popular and educational cookbook, The Jewish Holiday Table.  The cookbook features Jewish recipes from around the world, with historical context included. The group will work together to prepare a selection from the following recipes:

Olive Salad w/ Pomegranate
Cucumber, Mint & Sumac Salad
Fried Eggplant w/ Mint Dressing
Faloodeh Sib (Apple Rosewater Beverage)
Kemis de Navos ( Turnip & Orange Salad)
Fennel & Cucumber Salad
Herb & Almond Salad
Lali Salad ( Cherry, Chile & Cilantro Salad)


$18 per member (Religious School Parents Only)
Please be aware that this group will max out at FIFTEEN participants, and will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
